Wayport and McDonalds's WiFi get top honours

( INTC) said they will join forces to develop and deploy WiMAX wireless broadband networks.

Broadband Access Honors for Wayport and McDonalds were awarded last month at the Wireless Broadband Industry (WBI) Awards gala in London, England. Held in partnership with the International Wireless Event Conference, the WBI Awards recognize leadership, innovation and excellence in wireless broadband and are known as the Oscars of the wireless industry (Daily Express, May 2006). An independent judging panel composed of leaders in the top wireless companies and publications selected the winner in each category.
