Wireless Burgler Alarms: Benefits and Problems

The sky is clean and clear, the air outside is crisp, the sunlight coming in through the windows is pure, and there's a breeze. Last night, as storm blew through and now a young lady sits in front of me. Her straight hair is dark, and flows past her shoulders, and her eyelashes follow her sleepy blue eyes as they gaze over her computer. In that moment, she is the essence of fate unfulfilled. Hellen Frisk's journey started several months back when she began looking for ways of securing her home better. She had started to feel less and less secure in her neighborhood after a rash of break-ins, and one particularly violent incident that happened a few houses down. Even though the police were more active the crime still continued unfortunately. Sadly she couldn't go for what she really wanted, which was a dog, since it was against the rules at her building. Furthermore, any dog that is protective would prove to be difficult to train, and care for in an apartment complex. Not knowing exactly where to begin, she began researching alarm systems. Ademco LynxThere are some important differences between them. Each type has similar features and capabilities, but unfortunately the wired alarm systems were more difficult to install. She didn't want to be messing with having to run wires all through her apartment. It might have been possible to just affix the wires to the walls, but she decided that in the end it would be too messy. That sealed it for her, that wireless was the way to go. The only thing left to do is select a manufacturer. Napco Security Systems, DSC Alarm Systems, and Ademco Lynx turned out to be some of the better choices. It wasn't an easy choice. Some DSC units can cover up to 32 zones, and recognizes up to 16 wireless keys.Ademco is the other choice. The Vista 15P kit has the option of their "AlarmNet" communicator, which communicates alarm monitoring information wirelessly over the internet, which ensures proper operation even when the telephone lines are cut. Ellen finally settled on Napco's alarm system mainly because of it's "IQ Proiler" feature that helps with false alarms. Ellen owns a cat. Since the IQ Profiler can distinguish between the movement of a cat, and that of an intruder this made for an ideal choice. Recently while Ellen was asleep at night, an intruder entered her home, approached her, and put duct tape over her mouth. Instantly she was awake, and started trying to defend herself. He grabbed for her arms, and she kicked a few times, enough to break her loose. She made a break for it, and pulled off the tape. She heard her cat screech as the intruder tripped over him. He overpowered her, and the rest was a blur. Fortunately none of it happened though. The reason is because before he ever got inside the apartment, I was watching over her and he new that. Watching over her furniture, her possessions, and even her cat, and now she sits in front of me on this beautiful morning quietly catching up on her email.
